On
an average 400 to 2000 milliliters of gas (carbon
dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and methane) is
expelled each day by every one of us. Most of the time,
this happens without sound or smell. But at times it
causes discomfort and invites giggles.
Here are 7 ways to prevent gas formation.
1.
Avoid eating incompatible combination of food such as
fish and yogurt, meat and milk etc.
2.
Eliminate or minimize consumption of simple
carbohydrates such as refined sugar, refined flour etc
3.
Eliminate or minimize the consumption of dairy products
4.
Eliminate or minimize gassers such as cabbage,
cauliflower, beans, beer etc.
5.
Eat silently to ensure that you do not swallow air while
eating.
6.
Take activated charcoal tablets that absorb the excess
gas in your digestive track.
7.
Lie down and bring your knees to the chest and hold it
for a count of 15 seconds to expel the gas.
