Attachment Corrupts Our Judgment

Attachment can make us unhappy. It is better not to get attached as it makes us see things with a bias, falters perception, distorts truth and corrupts judgment.

A lady asked her friend; "How is your daughter?" Her friend replied cheerfully, "My daughter is very lucky. What a wonderful husband she has! He has provided her with a servant maid, a cook, a driver and all comforts in the world. She doesn't have to get up from bed until noon. She doesn't have to cook. She doesn't have to do any work. She is treated like a princess".

"And how is your son?" continued the lady. Her friend replied sadly, "Poor boy! Look at his fate. What a dominating wife he has. She forced him to employ a servant maid, a cook and a driver. She doesn't get up from bed until noon. She doesn't cook or do any work. She thinks she is a princess"
